The symposium “Communicating the Past in the Digital Age – Digital methods for teaching and learning in Archaeology” is organised by the CoDArchLab of the Archaeological Institute of the University of Cologne. The professor of Archaeoinformatics, Prof. Eleftheria Paliou, is hosting the two-day event at the institute, which is organised by her and her research assistants Sophie Schmidt and Sebastian Hageneuer.
The symposium was funded by the Stifterverband and the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine Westphalia. It is part of a larger project called “Experience of Antiquity with help of an Archaeology of the Senses” where we test new ways and equipment for teaching and learning Archaeology and Archaeoinformatics at the Archaeological Institute.
